Diane Blankenburg is the CEO and founder of Humane Network, a nonprofit organization that provides affordable, customized consulting services to humane organizations to help them succeed with less stress. She is also co-founder of Options Veterinary Care nonprofit clinic in Reno Nevada which improves access to vet care for those who cannot afford it.

Diane is a professor for the University of the Pacific Shelter Management Certificate Program. She was the development and community programs director of Nevada Humane Society, an open admission shelter (over 10,000 animal admissions annually) from 2007 through 2013 and played a key role in creating a lifesaving community in Washoe County with a live release rate of over 90% across all organizations in the community.

Diane was the first director of Best Friends Animal Society’s Network, was Katrina rescue and recovery director for Alley Cat Allies, and was the founder and lead consultant for Teaming Technologies.

She is also the co-host of the Shelter Success Simplified Podcast and co-founder of Options Veterinary Care nonprofit clinic in Reno Nevada which improves access to vet care for those who cannot afford it.
