This package contains information about how to prepare for and take the 2025 Beta version of the CAWA exam up to two times.

• The CAWA Exam is 100 questions. You have 120 minutes (2 hours) max to answer the 100 questions.
• If you fail the first exam attempt, you must wait 30 days to make a second attempt. Your higher score will be used to determine your pass/fail status.
• The CAWA Beta Exam closes by June 30, 2025, at midnight ET. If you are unable to take the beta exam up to two times by the deadline, your beta exam payment (minus a $10 processing fee) can be applied towards a verified exam.

2025 CAWA Beta Application Fees:

Animal Welfare Professional Members:  $200  
Other Member Types:  $400

• Fee does not include a per-exam attempt fee of $32 payable to ProctorU. There are additional optional fees if you’d like to take your exam within 24 or 72 hours.
