During the Society of Animal Welfare Administrators (SAWA) 2014 Annual Meeting, SAWA leaders presented, Beyond Labels: Understanding the True Impact of Live Release Rates and Intake Policies, which received 98% positive accolades and a standing ovation! Using stochastic modeling, Roger Haston gave an in-depth view of metrics, sheltering and a systemic view of animal welfare, and presented a holistic picture of the effects of intake and euthanasia policies on community outcomes.
