In 2017, the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando (PAGO) launched a Pet Apartment Registry to offer housing options to owners of large breed dogs who request to surrender them because of residential/ landlord challenges. Learn how to set up a similar apartment registry in their community and how to define it to meet the needs of their shelter. Hear about some of PAGO’s successes, lessons learned, and challenges of creating an apartment registry.
This session is best suited to organizations that shelter large breed dogs. Those in shelter/facility administration as well as board members of sheltering organizations will benefit from watching this recording and gaining ideas for program development.
Read this blog about the program.
This webinar recording is part of the new Innovation Bank. The Innovation Bank is a collection of bright ideas, innovative programs, and research that your organization can use for inspiration. Recorded sessions will be added to the series throughout Winter 2021.
